Short Story & Poetry Contest for Grades 1 - 12

1. Youth Short Story Entries will not be returned (Authors should retain a copy) and may not be over 2,000 words, one entry per student.

2. Youth Poems Entries can be any style with a minimum length of 8 lines and a maximum of 50 lines, one entry per student.
          **First place winners of the Youth Contest will receive cash awards. **

COMPETITION GROUPINGS:
   Category 1: Grades 1 to 3 Category 2: Grades 4 to 6

Poetry & Short Story Entries for grades 1-12 must be Mailed to:

***Post Marked no later than January 10, 2010***

COMPETITION GROUPINGS:
   Category 3: Grades 7 to 9 Category 4: Grades 10 to 12

**All winners will receive certificates and first Place winners will recreive a cash Award of $25.00

Entries must be: typewritten-DOUBLE SPACED, 1” minimum margins,
ONE SIDE ONLY on 8 ½” x 11” paper.
